Classic and Collector Car Insurance FAQ
What is agreed value coverage?
With agreed value, you and the carrier decide on your vehicle's value when the policy is written. If the car is a covered total loss, the policy pays that agreed amount, with no surprise depreciation. It's the key difference between collector car coverage and a standard auto policy, which pays depreciated actual cash value.
Can I drive my classic car every day?
Collector car policies are built for limited, pleasure use rather than daily commuting, which is part of why they cost less. Many allow driving to car shows, club events, and occasional pleasure drives. If you plan to drive it more, tell us and we'll find a policy whose mileage terms fit how you actually use the car.
Does my classic car qualify?
Eligibility varies by carrier and can depend on the vehicle's age, condition, how it's stored, and your driving record. Many classics, antiques, hot rods, and other collectibles qualify. Tell us about your vehicle and we'll find the right market for it.
